Door Lock Cylinder Covers (Bezel)
« on: August 31 2014, 02:54:55 PM »
Am going to be replacing the door lock covers (bezels) with some new ones. I've got the lock cylinders out, but am unsure of how these are held on. Are they just a press fit or do they need to be pried off & new ones crimped on to stay in place?[/size]Just wondering if anyone can help me on this project.thanks dave

I figured it out & now have em installed.

Had to destroy the original lock cylinder covers / bezels in order to remove them. The replacements have 4 tabs you fold over to hold em in place. New flapper doors & gaskets installed at the same time make for a fresh clean look.  Also installed some NOS GM window dew sweeps (window felts) at the same time.
Geez...only had these parts since "07" and just got around to installing them.
LOL

Yep - same with gauge bezels, they get rolled on.

I cut open an dead VDO voltmeter gauge recently - Deathraider699 6 fried it. :p

I skimmed off the outer lip with a grounding wheel.

The results were uneventful. Just a boring ass gauge.
