New project

I'm getting a brake job done on a trailer and figured I'd post about the new project. It's a 88 ( ? ) Porsche 944. It's going to be a ride. For now it will be VW VR6 powered. Needed a rwd platform. The class it falls in is called hotrod. It's a super tough class. No bigger then a 28x10.5 tire, 2800 lbs (add 200 because I'm taking the IRS out.). Not sure of the trans. Original idea is a th350 but not sure if it'll hold the power ( please any insight would be great). The motor will be making north of 1200hp. I'm kicking the idea of a Lenco. I'm trying to guage how much it'll be for the trans build and the tc. For a turbo I'm trying my luck with a Borg 500sx 91mm. Here is a few pics.
If no one seen what a vr looks like with no head it'll blow your mind lol.
Right now I'm waiting to get it in to the chassis shop still shopping around on that one. And why a 944? 2 reasons. Rwd.. And this sob could also swallow a LSx... With ease!

Not yet Gary. I will soon. Right now I'm swamped with work. Every weekend until June. There is also a local guy that does a lot of 10.5 cars. Right now he's looking like the best bet.

Slight update. Car is being shipped to my chassis guy in fl. Started stripping the car yesterday. All I can say isthst little hunk of crap has more carpet padding then 5 Buick put together. I spent 3 hours with a wire wheel and it's only half done. I picked up a 9" for $150. Going to post a pic of the wheels I'm thinking about getting. They're off my brothers gti. I know it's a slick up front but didn't want to put a new rim I. The sand for a pic. What do you think?

Well.. Here's an up date on the car.
That's the progress. The front of the car is being started this week.
