Mine, and my son's posts were removed, I was banned, (I assume my son was to), but they left up the bullshit Brian posted.

Nice!

I hate the way one can electronically create the documents, database entry and labels even though the package does not yet exist. So it seems on top of this USPS won't scan packages IN until they can leave in a timely manner to keep their apparent stats up.

I've seen this in telecom where techs will do anything to stop the outage clock- customer doesn't answer the phone?- stop the clock  :O

With USPS the first line on the tracking is when the shipping was paid for, it won't update until an actual postal worker scans it when they actually take possession.

Here's one I printed and dropped off at a satellite store an hour ago....

https://tools.usps.com/go/TrackConfirmAction!input.action?formattedLabel=9405903699300160036663

and here's one I just printed and won't be scanned for a couple more hours by an actual postal working driving the truck....

https://tools.usps.com/go/TrackConfirmAction!input.action?formattedLabel=9405903699300160102993

The flags always fly for me when I see 'there was a problem with the old tracking, here's you new tracking number"...  Now with flat rate shipping you can create accurate labels for stuff that doesn't exist.  If you don't know the weight, that's probably when the flags start flying with 'repackaging' and 'returned shipping' and stuff.

If it just says "Electronic Shipping Info Received"  There's a good chance no postal worker has laid hands on it.

EDIT: mail chick scanned the 993 package at 1:56EST.  I'm curious how long it takes to update now...

Then again, I wonder if that's an accurate test since it's after Noon on a Saturday???

...accepted at 1:58 and updated sometime in the last few minutes. I guess Saturday is still a good test.

Thanks for the lead BCN, but I was looking at the other style Brian has. They look like my factory wheels on my 86. Thanks for checking Earl. Maybe I'd be better off calling. With the new turbo, I suspect I'm gonna have a hooking problem, plus those wheels would look alot better than what I have now. Too bad I heard they're made in China

Gary,

I bought the G-body Parts aluminum rims for my 86 GN and I am quite happy with the look and the fit and finish of them.  Now with that said, I must say that I have had an issue with them.  When I got them, I had my original tires switched to the new rims and the tire shop said that the front tires weren't in good shape which I knew but I had them mounted anyways.  I drove the car and all was well but then I went to a Buick get together and drove on the highway and as soon as I hit 65 mph or just a bit lower, the car started to shake bad.  The vibration felt like it was coming from the front and you couldn't feel anything below 60 mph but you couldn't drive faster than 65 mph due to the shaking, it was BAD.  I took the car back and got new front tires, again a quick drive all felt good even at just over 60 mph.  When I went to the BPG Nats last summer I thought all was well but when I got on the highway running about 70 - 75 mph the vibrations started again and got bad at around 80 - 85 mph.  I haven't "fixed" the issue yet but with my original rims the car was smooth as glass even at speeds over 100 mph.  The car right now is so bad that I wouldn't even be able to make a 1/4 mile pass due to the vibration at speed.  I will get this fixed and I am only ASSUMING it is the rims right now.  The rims do look great and I haven't heard from anyone else that there is any shake or vibration issues with them so maybe it is an isolated incident or something not even related to the rims.  I will let you all know what the actual issue is once the problem is fixed.

I have these rims and have not had a problem.   That being said, I have heard of balancing issues on these...Maybe I got lucky (for once).

Disappointing.
'Suppose one would need to get them spun and checked before tire mounting.
