New truck.. w00t!
« on: September 03 2013, 06:07:25 PM »
Shitty pic - I will have better ones once I pick it up. :D

2007 F150 Lariat 5.4l, 20" factory rims,  193k - loaded.

I gave a bit over 6k for it. I bought it from a buddy of mine, I remember when he bought it new. 70% of the mileage is highway - it was his work truck for the most part. Blue Book, etc is a good bit higher..

It has new coil packs,. spark plugs, and radiator. Tires are beat - they aren't cheap - 275/55-20.

That's the main reason I didn't quibble too much on the price. I told him I wanted to pay 6k, he wanted a bit more. It purrs, even with the mileage.

I will need to hit it with a buffing wheel, it needs a tire pressure sensor (one has failed), and the battery may be weak. I don't expect all roses, but it will be a damn sight better than the Eldo.

It has a cover? that's worth a ton o' money itself. Ford trucks have always been good for me.

Congratulation on your new arrival, I don't care what state you're from, everyone needs a pickup truck. Soon will be in the process of looking for a good deal as well.

Yep - it has a full fiberglass lockable tonneu cover..

Easy to take off, just 4 aluminum bed rail clamps.

It has a factory Ford bedliner too.

Update:

Still loving this truck - what a pleasure to drive.

I replaced the battery with an 800CCA unit, and replaced the two worn front tires and TPMS sensor - now all 4 tires match - the rears were in good shape already.

The biggest issue I have is the windshield washer sprayers keep getting clogged - seems there's an issue with these doing that, I need to remove/clean the reservoir, and replace a disintegrating gasket to keep the trash out of the system.

Not a big deal!

If I can own a vehicle and my biggest worry is the windshield squirters - I am doing OK.
