Yet another volt light issue

OK, volt light wasn't working at all so I pulled it apart and fixed the connection.  So the light now works and scan master is showing around 12.8-13.2.  The light looks dimmer than the one above it.  Is that because of the resistor? Or do I have to dig deeper into this?

It's fine, they are never bright anyway.

so now you need to check the voltage at the alternator and see how it is actually charging

And yes the resistor shunts some current away from the bulb

13.8 at the back of the alt!!! I'm GTG!  On to the next problem...I will post that later lol.

I have never seen one with a resistor but I have heard rumors that they are out there-just like Big Foot

I can pull it back apart and snap a pic for ya.  I swear there is one down in the little socket that holds the bulb.

No need..I have seen pictures from other cars   If the car was charging and the bulb was not lighting up when the key was turned on, then it has to have a resistor.
