A bit pissed right now

Well things are tight so I decided to dig through the safe and see if I had something that I could get rid of. Found 3 of my PW's and 2 I haven't used in 10 years or better so I decided to look up values to see what they were worth. Rough estimate between the 3 was between $2500 to $3200 and I decided to see if someone wanted them. Now these are unique items that have been in my personal collection for a while. All 3 are pre September 1994 and 2 were built before 1946. 2 are legal in most states and 1 is even legal in some restricted states.
So I find a broker for them and included pics to show condition as well owership papers. He asks me what I
think
they're worth so I go with the lower value. He offers me $1200 for all three and thinks I'll bite. Well since I was in the business for over 10 years I know he's low balling me and told him what I'd expected as far as an offer. He tells me that things don't sell like they used to and I know that's BS to say the least.
He sent me an email last night asking what my lowest was and I get one again this morning so I know he's interested. I could honestly use the $ right now but less than 1/2 of what they're worth just isn't what I expected to say the least.
So do any of you need a few toys to have around that will only go up until the idiots in office decide to try and take them away from us?

That's how I got an idea of what they
should
costs Steve. A preban oly arms ar A2 should be about $1400 and a match grade M1 is about the same. The other is a 45 SMLE #5 mk1 and it between $500 and $800. I know what I'll get if I try and sell locally so I figured it would be easier going this route. I guess not.

Charlie, after seeing the pic you posted of yourself on facebook in your swimming suit...... I would think you would have no need for any "pw's".
it looks like you could pretty much do some serious butt-kickin with your bare hands.

You should be beating up on Mark not me Aaron.
If you're interested in some of my weapons I'll be happy to send you some pics and specs so you can get an idea of what they are. I was also an MP and was trained to hit targets at ranges that most wouldn't believe are possible,
I'll even let you hold the target for me if you want.

your too easy of a target, charlie
I gotta question for ya though....
do you see any need at all for the "laser" lights on small carry/conceal weapons? or are they just pretty much bling?

If you practice with a laser sight it can help you acquire the target faster but if you practice with a specific weapon all the time it shouldn't make a difference except in low light.

I find that practicing dry firing with the laser on shows me how much I am moving the weapon when I squeeze the trigger.

Still prefer my A2 in most cases or the CAR. Shotguns are great for up to 30 yards but after that I want a rifle.

Email me the pics and prices of what you want to sell, Charlie.
I might add to the stable, and a buddy collects. He's a licensed firearms dealer too.

Will do and thanks Mark. The interesting thing about the ar is it's an 8/94 preban rifle and since there was a fire at Olympics the only record of it was when it was bought in TN in 94. I got it from the original owners son when his dad ended up in the loony bin.
The scary part is "dad" was a class 3 dealer and all of his toys are still there.
