NOS4GN Site
« on: July 14 2013, 10:29:34 AM »
Glen has an odd way of running his site. So now he's taking it down on all weekends? It's odd enough that he takes it down during vacation, holidays, etc.

In order to better serve our customers, we will routinely perform website upgrades on the weekends-Saturday's & Sundays.

Please note that this website may be temporarily down on Saturdays & Sunday's in order to perform these upgrades.
Our website will be back up on Mondays.

I've never seen someone run a web site with hours like a physical store.  :hmm

Meh - of course it's his site - I just find it odd.

Never noticed...but Glen and his staff have gone out of their way to ship stuff up here to me as cheaply as possible.

OK.

Apparently I can't comment on his web site without somehow impugning his other fantastic business practices.

I apologize for that.

I've either been around the forums too long or I'm just getting old cause I'm starting to forget all the little tiffs,...but wasn't it somebody from highway stars that dissed the zddp additive and got some of the folks on the tb.com that swears it saved their life, all excited and upset?

Does anyone buy from Kirban anymore. I think I have one of their old catalogs but I don't think I've ever been to the website.

The only recollectoin I have of them lately was when all the $26 cam sensors dried up overnight and the next day Dennis announces that he has them in stock for something like $450 each.

and something about boost control solenoids going through the roof

I ordered once, didn't have a great experience.

Shitty packaging/packing, high prices and the PCV grommet they sell is the same shit Dorman one you can get for $2. I asked him about it via PM on TB.com, he basically told me to lump it. I had to get one from NOS4GN to get the right one.

Latest Kirbans experience. Myself and another member up here place an order with Kirbans. Says everythings in stock. Order shows up...minus a couple of parts. Call is placed and told they're on backorder. Great...now we not only have to wait for the other parts...but we get dinged twice for shipping.

Really? You have to pay shipping for the backorder? Wow.
