SBC Engine Question
« on: May 25 2013, 08:06:36 PM »
The 85 IROC I have suddenly pegged the analog temperature gauge. Water temperature is fine. Would it be the sender unit in the PS head has taken a dump?

sounds like...some where there should be a table listing resistances vs temperatures so you could measure the sender resistance and see if it is showing a high temp

Just did one of these a few weeks ago, sending unit was bad.

Take the wire off it and see what happens.

If you need more info follow the pic attached.
