hrmm I thought it started a while on March 1st.

That would mean you were late Earl rather than premature.

Three feet?  Springs already arrived for you! :icon_lol:   I've got 6 feet.  Yesterday morning it was -22'C and -30'C with the wind.  This morning was nicer, only -17'C.  Damn, Al Gore!  Where's the global warming?

Just rolled in from the hospital in Lindsay that's about an hour north of me. Still about 6" of snow on the ground...and lots of ice on Rice Lake.

Lake Simcoe where I am still has LOTS of ice as well.  I went out ice fishing yesterday morning and probably tomorrow morning too and there was 15" of ice yesterday where I was.  I will be ice fishing here for at least another week if not longer and the hardcore fisherman will probably be ice fishing into April!!   :O     Last year I didn't trust the ice and I never even went out on it once, much different than this year.

I must say that the amount of snow we had this year made for some fun driving with the AWD in the TBSS... but, now I can't wait to get the new tire and wheel combo on.

Also I went out fishing yesterday afternoon after work and caught a few Perch, unfortunately my son didn't get any.   :(

Depending on weather and ice conditions I "MIGHT" go one more time this season.   :chin:
