Chrome Moly Driveshaft?
« on: January 16 2013, 03:16:02 PM »
I have a chrome moly driveshaft and I was wondering if I should paint it or not?  Some guys say, "No, never paint a chrome moly!"  Yet you see the Denny's ones painted in a nice black.  What do you guys think?

Is Denny's painted or powdercoated?

I can't see why you can't paint moly, as long as the surface is prepped correctly, and the right paint is used.

Aren't most roll bars moly?

I don't think there is a problem painting it, it's that some people find it taboo.

water dip it in a camo pattern.  That way people will think you are using ion drive

That's a good idea.  I could use a mirror finish and make it look like there is no driveshaft!
