Well what do you think?

New rods, crank, bearings, and since it is apart new sleeve and up the cc from 600 to 750?

Oh this happened at ~12,000 rpm pulled the clutch in and it stopped dead. I actually though I lost a piston/sleeve
weld job. I can not believe that the rod did not snap and blow out the block.

Gonna grab the V blocks tomorrow and see how bad the crank is; then measure it up for dia. If they fall close to factory might get a polish on the crank.

Well checked the center on the blocks out by 20 thou.

Looking for someone that can grind, polish straighten.
Hamilton, London etc just trying to keep the drive time down if I have to ship then so be it.

Anyone delt with Falicon in FL?

If you mean Falicon, then they are go-to guys for motorcycle crank work.

What year ZX6 is it? Odds are you can just get a crank of Ebay shipped for less than the cost of fixing yours. (or a whole engine if you can find one within driving distance.

My apologies; yes Falicon. Fixed in my previous post.

1992, wet weight 397 lbs 119 rwhp

Have seen some on e  bay, issue is you have no idea what shape they are in, bent straight or otherwise till it shows up. And shipping is crazy. I asked a few of the sellers and they say they know nothing other than it came from X X X X with X miles which means nothing  ask them is it straight no idea. Hence the question of who can fix one locally. I got a price from the local machine-shop; I was there, as I was to leave the machinist came running out and says we do not have that stone to cut that. :(

The price was very fair, too straighten flux cut polish $200.00

I have a couple e-mails into a few salvage yards one of them has a 6k motor. Want to know what they warranty etc?  I know for a fact that I would want to pull the pan off and look to see if there is anything there.

Falicon was very reasonable price for a super crank just do not run it hard enough to put a 4k crank in it.

Mileage on modern sportbikes really don't mean much. It's defiantly a buyers market since soooo many of these machines get totaled out fairly quickly.
   That's pretty impressive you have a shop so close by that can build up a crank, and finish one. I still have an old FZR600 crank I sent to Falicon way back in my racing days. I think it was $220 or $225 back then to fix a journal. Right after that I switched to GP 2fiddys.


Do a craigslist search too. You might be able to find a whole bike on the cheap. Take what you need and scrap/Ebay the rest.
