looks way to European to me.  but I figure the chance that I'll actually like whatever version gm will actually put out will be slim to none.   
 
course if it rips up the concrete, I may not care that much about looks.  just needs to be roomy

I dont see it happening, we love them but 90% have never even heard of a GN. That being said, a 4 door, come on. The revived camero would have been a wild sucess if it was revived as a 4 door :rolleyes;

With the success the buick has been having in the asian market, and I'm assuming still doing ok here in the states, I can see the buick marketing team wanting to take another go for a buick muscle car. 
I don't know how well these new little t charged regals are selling, but I never see them anywhere.
If they brought back a recognizable name that I'm assuming they still own the rights to (gs, t type, gnx, gsx, grand national), and put it on a mid size or full size performance buick, it might do well, if it looks cool and performs, even if it is a 4 door, as much as I hate to say it.   
I would think for it to be a hit, its gonna have to be a new platform with lotsa retro cues to the buicks that had muscle in the past.  and not slapping the badges on another audi or opel copy.
 
but it wouldn't surprise me one bit if some idiots on the buick team decides to put "gnx" on a suv and tries to pass it off to the public  :rolleyes;

Is that 2.0 liter motor the same as the Solstice motor?

I like the rear drive - I don't like that even the entry T is a 4cyl.

Gm has used the 2.2 that produce ~400 hp NA very easy with factory parts. And even higher, iirc over 1800 from the block. This was back in year 2000 or there about. L850 engine iirc.

This is the catalog I got some years ago, have a read starting around page 30.
