I have nothing against soldering AJ. Just have to strain relief above the wick point.
I use the connectors that have solder in the middle and heat shrink at either end. Hit em with a heat gun to make em work. Couple of drawbacks are when you have multiple wire repairs in the same area it is difficult to isolate the wires and the damn things are so rigid it makes it rough to feed the wiring jumble back to a stored location. You gotta appreciate the finesse it took not to make this post X-rated, huh Earl?
