Thank you Mr Ford
« on: September 02 2012, 05:40:19 PM »
So both halves of the tailgate cup hinge have rotted. The body portion unbolts.
The Tailgate part is(was) welded on. WTF? Buy a new tailgate?
No wonder guys are welding on a suitable chunk of pipe.

Think Steve would notice that his tailgate is missing?......

A lot of broken parts does not make you a racer; it makes you a slow learner.

Actually DIY Tonneau covers - naugahyde over plywood slid into in alum channels bolted on the rail

So I use the lock on the tailgate and stash tools/chains in big rubbermaid tubs

Oh and the rear cab corner mounts too. Usually after about 7 - 10 years.
