Thanks a bunch fellas. Im still at work. My mom looked for an excuse to drive the buick , so she offered to take the car to get it inspected for me. If it turns out to be the switch, would that be difficult to replace? I will inspect this evening step by step as stated Steve. Thanks you guys

The only symptom I am associating is that you said the 3rd brake light works consistently, and the lower brake lights work sporadically.How to replace Turn signal switch Saginaw GM/ Chrysler steering column.
