Let the upgrades begin
« on: July 16 2012, 07:39:18 PM »
just ordered a UMI Stage 1 suspension upgrade for my 67 Buick...it has no front or rear sway bars now and the springs look like they were stock and the shocks are starting to leak and rear upper and lower control arms...

It was just a matter of time. :p

Have you considered getting a different motor, and tweaking that? Pull the original out, and tuck it in a corner of the shop..

the car is fun to drive as is...it does need some tuning and I need to get rid of the points...have lined up a bunch of v8 buddies to give me a tune at BPg and I will take if from there...it is not a race car...i would like to swap in a posi rear but with current trans and switch pitch converter it will not break tires loose...so if anything a trans an converter swap is in order...but then you take away from the original aspect of the car...I do not think a suspension upgrade takes away from the originality of the car...but then,,,who knows...

A lot of broken parts does not make you a racer; it makes you a slow learner.
