I have a few friends and relatives that work in union shops.
One friend was unfairly fired for leaving work to go to the
hospital, where he was admitted for 3 days. The union got him
his job back. Another time the union (same place, different friend)
was negotiating a new contract, and was close to striking. They
wanted union members to go to various places of buisness of their
customers with signs on their vehicles and take up as many parking places as
they could. (illeagal activity) Fortunately it didn't go that far, but they
were planning to. I'm on the fence as far as my opinion of unions is.
They do both good and bad. I think at one time they were essential.
Nowadays, I think the for the most part, cause more harm than good.
I honestly think that they are a major cause for the downfall of the
American automobile industry. I'd be willing to bet, that most union
auto workers earn more money for repetitive semi skilled labor, than
I do as an automotive technician. Not to mention, that they aren't required
to purchase the vast array of tools and test equipment that I have to.

We may have to cancle the Vegas trip and go to Atlanta. I dont need a bat, I'll bring my microphones... let them sing in the one they choose. Be careful Jim with the threats, someone might take you seriously and try to harm you. If I was in the ATL right now I'd escort you home at night. I'm kinda pissed that I feel your threatened.

Jim mentioned to me today that the pilots are delaying flights for the troops in Iraq. Thoes guys want to get home to their families and not be stalled by the assholes who are on strike and sitting at home with their kids. Thoes pilots should stand trial for war crimes. Crimes against humanity. Their fucking with the emotions of the men and women that are protecting us...making them think there comming home.

What about a class action lawsuit for Jim. He's losing money and it's not his fault. Give the pilots raises then garnish the cost thats affected others.
Save the bumper fillers!
Move to Canadia!

Good to hear! And don't worry, even if you end up making a deal to do the dishes for the rest of the fiscal year, we'll make sure it's worth it to ya.

I'm in ! Flights and hotel room are booked! The Sahara
has recently made some renovations from what I've read.
I guess that explains the price increase from $39/night to $131/night.

Yeah, I was a bit shocked too. My boss is supossed to go, but if ya don't care
about sleepin' on the floor you can stay in the room also. Sylvan may have an extra bed too. With everybody thats going, we should be able to find room for everybody.
