Track Times..
« on: January 15 2006, 04:08:28 PM »
Went to the track yesterday with Tony Moore and a couple of his friends(Chuck, Bruce)
I got I little lost on the way took me 4 hours...190 miles one way
The first picture is of tony's car, his friend bruce's to the right and my behind.
The second pic from left to right:Me, Chuck, Bruce and Tony..We stop and had dinner after racing ..This is the first time that I have stopped to eat after racing. Normally I have to work in the morning an have to get back...this was Great....got home faster..only 3 hours from the track

Tony let me make some runs on his slicks
14psi boost 0 timing pull 5-6psi launch
Last run R/T .055 60' 2.080 1/8 9.153 75.7mph 1/4 14.342 @ 94.67
On the heals Rich(B4Black)...maybe I should fix the header leak and weak battery.
I think that I'm at stock SFI times
Oh and I have a time slip that says 15.4 @393mph :rofl;

Well you are faster than my car when I first bought it in the 1/8th... I ran a best of 9.51 @ 73 with a 2.2 '60... on BFG radials...

That was two years ago and havn't been to the track since.

The best 60' that I have gotten on BFG radials is a high 2.1 that that was yesterday, only to have them cut loss after the 60' mark..They suck.
I plan on getting some M/T ET's and a larger rear sway bar.
I wish I had some vids of the launchs, it would help in the setup.

Is the rear suspension relatively stock?
My 1958 Mamiya can beat up whatever camera you just wasted your money on.

All stock except for a single air bag on the right side.

Wow, you're gonna make the intercooled guys start sweating.  Great times, was the air temperature cool and dry?  Winter should be the best time to race 'em.

I would say the 393mph was probably +/- 10 or so.
