Turbosmart Eboost2 boost controller
«

Hi, I am a migrant from the other site...
I have a Hot Air Buick with a FAST XFI (Caspers interface) and I am installing an electronic boost controller and had a few stupid questions...
1) Do I need to remove the restrictor in the "T" at the compressor?
2) I obviously can eliminate the wastegate control solenoid as there is no more ecu to control it..?
??
Thanks
Greg

I have not used one, but,...
I thought it came with it's own solenoid which eliminates the need for a tee if you are using an internal waste gate? Are you using an external gate?

I gave Norbs a call about your questions. You need to know what version you have, and may have to have it upgraded to the latest version. He also recommends contacting Cal Hartline.

Why not use the XFI's internal boost control? Or is yours an older unit?

Thanks for the replies...
The XFI is brand new...haven't yet fired the car. I'm just finishing the engine build. I am using an internal wastegate (John Craig Turbo) I wanted a EBC that I could change on the fly. I think I figured it out...(not sure what I was thinking cause the wastegate control has nothing to do with anything anymore =P) I also found a note in the Turbosmart literature about removing the factory restrictors (if any). Thanks for the input everyone - great board!
