HID install

I didn't like any of the harnesses I bought, decided to rework one.
Bench tested today, I'l put it on when/if it warms back up.
I really don't like caspers lack of index post on the D2S/H4 shield, I'm adding something
there too. Problem is the D2S electrical connector is really tight and will spin the bulb.
The Autogoody are much better in that respect.
This should provide the high/low in parallel solution.

Wow! This wiring diagram is GREAT .....thanks Dave
Will come in real handy for anyone wishing to do this change over.
As you know, I'll be doing this conversion too (over the winter) and this will be put to good use!
Can't wait to finally have some half decent lighting.
May need a consult in the process, here & there though.
What are your going rates these days?
Thanks again,
dave

Update: an inch and quarter hole saw is the thing- a nice tight fit to the D2S.

This is a D2S install. Hoping to keep this thread focused on the install.
Let's argue merits in the other long thread?

Had a question asked- HTH
The harness connects to the low beam wire and the ground wire or ground.
The diode goes between the high beam connection and the low beam wire.
The only current thru the diode is the relay current.
The diode prevents the low beams from trying to light the high beams (reverse biased) .

Here's one link I found......not sure about 16gauge wire though? May be best to look for one with 14gauge wiring? Dunno

This second one looks to be using heavier gauge wiring. Just cut off the male connector and you're good to go!
Suggest giving them a call tat Susquehanna Motorsports to verify gauge of wire used.
