RIP Stanley
« on: February 04 2012, 11:10:46 AM »
After his 2nd bout with a cancerous tumor - I had to put my friend and cat Stanley down this morning.

He went to sleep about 10:15. Tough bastard - it took 2 shots to put him down.

He's buried in his favorite towel, in my side yard, outside my office window.

I miss him already. :(

RIP Stanley.

Pics from this morning.

Big lump on his right leg is the cancer that took him down.

Whole damn gallery.

Warning, there's pics of his surgery incision..

I love animals and each time, I swear never another one.  I know exactly how you feel.

I dread the day my dogs go Mark. They are my kids. It took me almost 20 years to get another one and now I've got 2. LOL You can't replace them but you can remember them and get another to ease the pain. I hope you get another one soon but would understand why if you wait. :(
And remember, when dealing with children, silence may be golden but duct tape is silver.

He looks identical to my own cat, Akira...she's going on 17 years old now.  Sorry to hear this, my wife's cat Peaches pass a few years ago, she was 14.

Thanks all for the good wishes.

It's hard - he was like a dog and was a constant companion, almost always by my side. I know what I did was the right thing, at the right time - doesn't make me miss him any less.
