Lotsa ten second car owners out there with 13 second time slips that belong to that school that is sponsored by your vendor

My main addiction is "want" which is worst then "i need" most people that "need" can usually accept sense being talked into them but the "want" guys are just retarded :068:
Most talk about having thick skin but thats just BS.
This damn attitude of "you didn't listen to us/me now you should burn in hell for it" really sucks.

what really pissed me off is the fact he did not offer the site to the core members. After it was sold I reached out to him and got no reply...then i got banned by the new owners...If it was not for the Toronto Crew and the Magna boys complaining I am sure I would still be gone...and I thanks them for that just to be able to post BPG info... There is more behind the scenes than most know...and it really boils down to $$$...

In my current position I am privy to lots of stuff that is not public knowledge...Th ere are a few items that cannot be discussed openly due to legal issues...as far as TBS.com from what I was told he was approached and took the offer...hence the $$$ even though that site was known for transparency..,, which Mike quoted often...post what you want it will not be deleted...but IMHO he sold out..

He did sell out. :013:  The new owners have tried to buy TB.com several times and keep getting the cold shoulder, thank goodness.  You also have to understand why TBS was created though. Mike wanted it to be more than what it was and it never really got as big as he wanted. Since it didn't do as well as hoped and the cars are dying out he bailed. :icon_evil:

judging by the nature of some of his post that I had seen, it doesn't surprise me he would sell to anyone that would offer a good amount of cash. I'm not saying he's a bad guy or anything, I don't know enough about him.  it's just funny how $$$ can make all the  difference in people.

I don't know how much they paid for that board, but my guess is there's nobody in the tb community that would pay what they did

well Mike didn't know squat about Buicks when he started the site. At the end he still didn't know squat  :player: . I laugh everytime I think about his "budget " 4.1 rebuild. Blew that sucker so many times I forget the # of engines he did or redid. Then of course he had the "in information" on all the different silicone colors  :add_wegbrech: He really hadn't been that active for years . He got married an just moved on. Some people can do that  :icon_fU:

Agreed. The place was pretty well at max throttle & not picking up any speed.
Take a double digit number, add a few zeroes & he cashes out to help with a new marriage & raising kids. Most people would probably do the same.

He topped it when he became a full fledged vendor and starting making up science to sell alternators...

He made the right choice when he took the money, imo.

I sent him $300-$400 over the years. Not a lot but I felt it was fair at the time.
I forgot about the $$ but the tech was worth it to me.  :powersix:   :atbeer:

can't blame a guy for taking the money and running.  He had a wife and family on the way.  He needed the money, I am sure.

Hey, it's a "real" board now.  Got advertisers and moderators now  :D

I would have quietly offered it to a half dozen or so members on the board. As Dave stated...peopl e were always giving contributions. ..and in the end...that was all forgotten.
