The magic camera is here...
« on: December 30 2005, 05:30:36 AM »
A lot of photographers won't tell you their secrets, I think it's really because they're assholes. The camera is here:

e=search" class="bbc_link" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=productlist&A=details&Q=&sku=369376&is=REG&addedTroughTyp e=search

sun dog, buy your wife one, she will love you forever. Buy 2, you guys can have fun together with shitty cameras.

The camera needs to be modified before you use it! They are plastic boxes of shit before you tweak them, but afterwards, they're lovely. I'll post up the directions to modify them later. If you buy them, buy film too. I use Ilford HP5, Kodak T-Max 400 is good. Any 400 speed, 120 size film is good really. But only in the daylight.

If you guys really want to know the tricks to it, I'll tell you. So simple it hurts.

Thanks man great idea I have a b-day to buy for in Feb.  I feel the same way on the trade secrets;  I've found most people who know very little don't like to give up any info.

OK, now you guys have to find a place near you that develops 120 or as others call it, medium format film. I don't know of any one hour places that do it, usually I go to a favorite photo store (a cute girl works there, and I've only seen her there once. I will persevere!) and they ship it out and I get the film back a few days later.

I'll compile a list of films and situations to use them in.

I once had one of those "go in just to see her" type chicks at a pet store next door to me in Rockland, ME. One day a realized that I had like 20 Bettas and I should quit going there.

There are a lot of art fags in Santa Fe, plenty of specialty photo stuff.

Eat a bowl of chodes. It takes HUGE pictures, 4 times the size of a 35mm camera, costs $20 and everything looks old school. The color photos are just as wicked. It worthless as a real camera, but art photos are ridiculous, as it has features a $1,000 Hasselblad doesn't.

Well, I've been scopin' out things I'll shoot with it when it shows up. There's an awesome twisted Cottonwood up the road that's gonna look bad ass on my website.

I'm ordering one this week.  Any add-ons (Filters, film, ect...) you recommend on the site.  Your tweaking tricks would be much coveted.
