ok somone please explain to me how it works. i knwo it always looks low because of the occumulater ball but y does the drivers side lever never move?

The drivers side is just like a regular master. The fluid level will only
change slightly during use. The passengers side is for the power brake assist.
The level remains low while pressurized brake fluid is stored in the accumulator.
When the pressure is released from the accumulator (during brake use) the
level will rise until the evil grey switch activates the electric pump. Once
the desired pressure is reached, the evil grey switch shuts off the pump.

Basically, the accumulator is split into 2 sections seperated by a rubber diaphragm:

One half (or so) is pressurized with nitrogen. The other half is reserved for brake fluid. When the pump runs, it pressurizes brake fluid into the other side of the diaphragm. When you need power assist, it uses the resistance of the now highly pressurized notrogen to pressurize the brake fluid on the other side of the diaphragm.

Whatever you do, don't add any, spilled brake fluid is some nasty shit.  You should never need to unless there is a leak.  The fluid level will drop with pad and shoe wear to compensate for the pistons being extended.

i knwo all about how the passengers side is always low but mine is leaking slightly. i hadda add some the other day it was makin noises. but yea i dident know about the "regular" brakes. thx guys.  :smt071
