I've been pounding the crap outta PF 52's...without issue.

I have been hearing reports of faulty AC filters for the past couple of years...as well as some counterfeit ones

I pound the piss outta my car and drive it everywhere. Wondering if some of these guys using the high volume oil pumps and trying to crank up the oil pressure sky high mite play into it.

nope...they are made all over the world and at pf52 is not always what we think a pf52 should be...I quit using them some time ago....too many reports about them having problems

I used to use AC PF-52 oil filters, back in the day, now all I've been using is Napa (gold) # 1036 which is equivalent to the PF-52.
1987 GN 3" ATR downpipe,PTE TA 49 turbo, adj. wastegate,adj. fpr. Art Carr shift kit 2 1/2" Hooker ex. 3" Hi flow gutted cat, aero chamber muffs. 9"K&N filter, 60/65lb. mototron injectors,heads pocket ported, 3 angle valve job, LT1 valve springs, 340 walbro fp.hot wired, plenum spacer, 160 therm.
