My ENTIRE apartment is FLOODED!
« on: December 09 2005, 02:39:45 AM »
So.. I was playing COD 2 for about an hour and a half.. I finish up, time for bed, and go to the bathroom.

Lo and behold, there's 1" of water on th bathroom floor. I thought it was the toilet, but it worked fine. I decide to go into the kitchen, and notice that the carpet is rippling in front of my feet as I walk, and there's another 1" of water in the kitchen.

Turns out, I mwas doing a load of laundry, and when it went into the "Soak" cyle, something stuck/broke in the washer, and it kept filling and filling, and since it was leaking out, it never made it to the "full" sensor.

Called the leasing office emergency line, took them about 10-15 minutes to get back to me. They are sending out a carpet extraction company tonight, they will be here in about an hour, and will probably be here 2-3 hours. :(

no sleep for me tonight, I hope the boss doesn't expect me to be in anytime before 2-3pm.

Just got back from the store-

Ouch! My room flooded a week or so ago. I just ripped out the carpet. I like the concrete and rug look. Did you learn your lesson S6? Never put delicates in the washer!

Pretty much like it never happened..

They left the dehumidifier here for a few extra days, didn't just fix the old washer, they gave me a new one, and I finally scrubbed the floors..

And then bought yet another 12 pack os Bud Select.

I can that the "man dance". That's when you really can't stop to take a leak, so you unzip your pants and let it hang while you're pissing as you're walking down an alley. So I've heard...
