I think I used lacquer thinner for the glue residue after I warmed the film with a hairdryer and got the glue to release. Door glass.NO idea what thinner would do to the glue holding the foil.

I also used lacquer thinner to clean up the glue residue left behind. I chose not to retint it myself, I took it to a tint shop.
