Ed, that is an excellent article that provides the truth rather than spreading the b.s. that we see so much of these days....I have seen several others that repeat the same but without as much detail as this article.

A lot of broken parts does not make you a racer; it makes you a slow learner.

that was a really intersting read.   One huge advantage corvette owners have over us is there is so many of them.  There is massive groups that spend the time and money doing research on things that relate to them.  For our cars it seems like there is so much subjective information out there.

Glen is a good guy. Get his banner up.

I emailed him and offered free banner space, we'll see.

I have not been over there for a long time.

A friend got accused of bad mouthing a vendor there, he had spent ~25k with the vendor. Did everything the vendor requested of him. All fine and good when you expect a finished product. It never happened product never worked, number of wasted trips etc. I had known what happened and said something, got a few unpleasant PM's including from Shane.

Needless to say the friend was called a lair . . .

When my friend gets an apology from Shane I may go and read some there, not likely will ever happen.  It is one thing to have a little fun; another to call someone a blatant lair.

So have I missed anything over there?

I finally found a source for Valvoline VV850 and been using that.  I was using standard VR1 w/ZDDP though just because it was pushed so hard...live and learn I guess.

I just posted questions in my engine thread here regarding which oil to run.

I recently purchased some stuff from Glen at Highway Stars, real awesome company to deal with!! And he's sorta local to me, so parts come next day. I bought the heater hose kit for my GN there.

TB... I purposely posted a positive feedback thread there for Glen because of the good service I received. I got jumped over there hardcore when I spoke up about Lonnie Diers not keeping his word and jerking me around on a tranny he had been paid for. I received threats via PM, and harrasing phone calls at work.... Lonnie was gracious enough to give his nutswingers my contact info. Anyhoo I ended up being the bad guy, so I rarely post there anymore. I got into it with Shane pretty good, and he banned me for a month. I saw a pic of him.... Now I know why his control of the internet is so important!!!

I emailed Glen to let him know he could run a banner here for free. He said he looked around and liked that we aren't sponsor driven. I'm still waiting for the banner - but the offer is there.

Yes he can. He's a paying vendor.

I would never post this on the yellowboard, because I would probably be assailed by a pack of maddog devotees, but I had a very bad experience with Lonnie Diers. I've never said this to anyone before, but doing business with him was a nightmare.  And, as long as I'm on the attack, I can say the same for Brian Weavy.
For my money, the best vendors I've encountered in the TB community are Glen, John Spina at Caspers, and Mike Licht.
