My co-worker has friends and family in Japan.  She said she had heard from the friends via Facebook but still hadn't heard from the family.

I've been in a meeting all day, so I really haven't seen the coverage yet.  But it sounds bad.

My prayers are with them.

Now the Nuke Plant is leaking! They are better prepared than anyone for this but that is going to be one hell of a mess to clean up! The shoreline moved 8 feet from that quake.

I believe the nuclear mess is a lot worse then being reported.  They will lie until some top official does the hari kari bit at a public tribunal.  Get the American and French nuke experts in there fast.

I will admit ignorance concerning nuclear energy in Japan, but I would have thought there would be some common sense rules in play here involving the construction of nuclear facilities in countries with high earthquake probabilities.
