While I'm pleased to say that it will most likely damage Obama's re-election hopes, it should be remembered that it has always been part of Obama's Green strategy to welcome increases in gas prices as a means of forcing the United States to develop alternative energy policies.
Obama and and his cabinent have been clear since 2008 that higher gas prices, similar to Europe's $10.00 per gallon, will force the development of Green Energy.

No doubt you are correct, Chris.   The problem with that is that we have destroyed our industrial base and green jobs do not require the employee base that industrial does.

Spain is a shining example of how to destroy an emerging economy by pursuing the green path and ending up with a nation of chronically unemployed.

Obama and his string pullers wish us to be just like the bottom of the heap instead of the top of the pile.  Someone is getting rich off the green machine but it is not the average citizen

ok here is my theory....why are we in Afghanistan ....because there are trillions of $$$ in untapped resources...We have enough oil in the U.S. to last a lot longer than you know...I think the U.S, want to deplete all the other oil reserves and then hold the monopoly on oil...
