Why is it in Libiya the rebels want help from other countries like USA, Canada, Italy, etc BUT NONE of the good Neighbors are lifting a finger except to send Mercenaries?? What about all the protesters from Egypt, Iran, Dubai etc etc sitting & doing Nothing to help??

Maybe, just maybe?? so no matter the Outcome they can blame the US in some way, shape or form?
 I say let them Kill each other & lets take care of our own problems at home with Mexico etc. The middle east cares less about them even tho they Protest at Home for Attention so WHY does the USA & Canada care so much???

I honestly do feel for the children of these areas because they have yet to have the opportunity to make a decision for themselves whether or not they'd like to be a member of these violent and and unjust societies. As for the adults who've made their choice (and I understand that it's not all of them), after a while I have to just throw my arms up and admit that I wish the whole area would just teleport to their own planet and kill eachother over there if that's what they want.

We should just sit and wait for one of them to poke at Israel. Then in a few days we will be buying oil from Israels newly found oilfields  for $25 a barrel and a free bagel with a fill-up. :rolleyes:

Israel will not do anything without the U.S. backing them up..the U.S. sends billions annually to prop up their economy...with out the U.S. they would be another 3rd world power....and yes I agree the British created most of the middle east problems after WWII

I had not seen any request for help aimed our direction, but.....

The old saying amongst the arabs goes something like this"

Brother against Brother.  Brothers against the Father.  Family against the Sheik.  Sheiks against the tribes.  Tribes against, the king.  Kings against Kings, and Islam against everyone.

That is the main reason that they have failed to hold earlier conquests.  They end up fighting over the spoils amongst themselves.

In the end, it is a tribal based society with Islam being the glue.  Israel provides the common focal point in times like this when the radicals push religion ahead of the economy.

I agree with this. Stop being the world's police, that's what NATO and the United Nations is for. We have too many issues HERE that need to be addressed.

They use many of our exports, and if they raise oil 20%, raise grain 40%. Fuck them.

Sadly, I think it will take $7.00+ gas before someone gets off their ass and lets us finally drill the vast reserves we have and finally build new refineries.

Between the USA & Canada we have enuf resourses that we working together need nobody's help. SCREW them ALL!! You want what we have you pay our prices.
Anything we import gets a 25% tax right on delivery.

Then maybe you can totally seal the Mexican border to Tax Paying workers only that cross daily. iF & when prices of food go up, the us people can either pick their own fruit & veggies or STFU!!

I agree completely.  the border would not be that hard to seal but we have to want to seal it.

We used to be the world's greatest exporter of food, but now we are importing food.  We have at least 40 years of known reserves of oil/gas, but we are not allowed to develop it.

the only thing we might be short of is some of the rare earths...and that may be because we don't want to mine them when China is abundant with them.  Pay the price and I think we would soon return to a balance where prices because to sort themselves out as the vine dries up overseas.
