are we heading back to 11th thru 13th century with the Crusades..... with the revolts going on in Egypt...the confrontations in England and France... was NOSTRADAMUS right that the end is near....If history has taught us anything religious wars are never won...but I am a little afraid that the Muslims have the upper hand as today's Christians are wrapped up in themselves...w here the Muslims are united in a common cause...it is interesting that the Muslim religion has had a huge influence on western civilization.. .I do not think that in America it will be much of an issue...althou gh we have seen some influence but I am worried about Europe. With laws being adjusted to benefit the Muslim religion. When you emigrate to another country to seek a better way of life you should assimilate to that country not change it to suit your needs. I am afraid that America is becoming so politically correct that we will lose the American identity...

you are mistaken in the Muslim vs Christian part...Christi ans have lost their way, and the non-believing descendants do not believe in anything but what they can get for nothing.

The fervent Muslims believe in a cause and the promise that the world will be theirs.

Therefore, we have a strongly ideological movement with serious motivation against a blob that sees no evil, etc.

this is a far worse scenario than the times of the Crusades...but, you correct, Europe is in deep do do.

I think the division in the Muslim world actually spurs them onward...both sides want to be the first in the charge...after they have taken over, then they will fight it out with one another

Again, I disagree...Ath eists don't believe in  anything so they cannot understand, or take seriously, those that are fanatical about a cause....

At any rate, Muslims have become a very disruptive force in Europe and the the politically correct socialist governments don't dare to put them in their place.

So...the question is..will the muslims take charge, or will some extremely left or right wing group seize power using the Muslim threat as the rallying cry?  It ain't good

i prefer to look at it sociologically, and figure that humans are nothing more than hairless apes, with predictable behavior, and a history from which to accurately predict that behavior. I see no group uniting under a common flag, especially a religious one, and becoming a serious threat to world order. A threat to peace, yes, but not to the everyday function and inner workings.

Most religions, and religious people, cannot even function as a cohesive unit at the micro level, let alone the macro. There simply aren't enough fanatics to effect widespread change, which would take decades, if not longer.

 Most wars are lost through the attrition of will, rather than manpower.

I fear that terrorist attacks like 9/11, or the recent Moscow attacks, will become more frequent, and that is the real danger we face from fanatics.

Only time will tell, I suppose.

so true. its very scary times... but i'm worried the people that were attacked will up the ante. i read somewhere the putin said that russia will have merciless retaliation on who ever bombed the airport..

That's what Steve was alluding to. I think that it is a good possibility that some far left or far right group will seize the opportunity to use the Muslim threat to further their own agenda. In fact, I suppose many already are.

different topic, kinda, I see they found a book in AZ that was published in Iran glorifying suicide bombers...this was out in the desert.

From the local immigration guys, we hear stories all the time about people they catch that are pakistani, etc., that are carrying large amounts of money, etc.  It is strange that few, if any, of these ever makes news....it is as if it is hushed up.  It seems they cross the border, go to an airport, or bus station and go who knows where.   I suspect we have many that are not caught that have entered illegally.

I have to wonder if the government keeps it quiet trying to prevent worry, or if they are trying to track them to see where they go.
