back on a semi serious note...say the Muslims take over Egypt...they then control the Suez Canal..and you have to look at North Africa Algeria, Egypt, Libya, Morocco, Sudan, Tunisia, and Western Sahara...they are mostly Muslim states...that would effect control of access to the Mediterranean if they wanted...with only the British Controlling Gibraltar...I think Egypt and Tunisia are the stepping stones

If we went back to producing our own oil to be self suffiicent the Middlle East could  eat there oil. The Russian pipeline can supply all of Europe.  I predict Eqypt will mess up with its new found people power and fuck with Israel. This will put the Suez Canal in there control in hours. End of problems.

we have spent the past few years trying to eliminate oil production in this country and it appears that we shall soon be paying ridiculous prices for gas as a result.

Amazing how much onshore reserves have been discovered in recent years and more amazing how hard an effort is being put into not developing them.

Oh, well, Canada well end up owning us because they have plenty ready to go.

The bad part of this is that the Alaskan pipe line isn't supplying America. It's going over seas, mostly to Russia. Think how cheap fuel would be on the left coast if they let it stay in the states.
