I need to take off the other rub strips. I do not like them.

Heck, I am not wearing out the car, I am slowly rebuilding it.

The wife likes to drive it too.

I would like a Park Ave Ultra - with the heads up display.

I keep telling myself that I'd like a Buick Roadmaster with an LT1 to replace my Isuzu Rodeo as a daily driver:

We have a '98 with 175K on it now.  Just replaced a fuel pump and it still runs like a champ.  Afraid to part with it because it's been so dependable.

dont rodeo's have major rot problems? with the money i've been dumping in the gti i'll be running that thing for a long long time. new coilovers in it, new trans, upgraded clutch and flywheel. if it keeps on breaking it'll get a 30r turbo. hey might as well have fun with it if i gotta keep it right?

I had some rust on mine as it was located in the Chicagoland area and the previous owner did not do the best job of protecting it from rust. I did replace the front bumper and drivers fender. The rest was not bad.

Starter, alternator, EGR, O2 sensor, timing belt, and fuel pump have been the major issues for our Rodeo.

I wouldn't recommend getting one as a daily now though because getting parts for it is starting to be a bit of a PITA and when Isuzu pulled back/scaled back in the US it's made it even harder to get answers.    When we ordered the O2 sensor, we wound up getting five different ones all using the same part number until we finally got the right one.  Each box had the same part number and UPC, but each sensor was different.

We have the 3.2L and it's presented some really odd trials...the alternator is essentially underneath the car and to replace it you need to spend a good 3 to 4 hours of labor to include taking a damn wheel off.  To replace the starter you'll need to take off a header or you're going to do allot of cursing and screaming.

jeremy i'm getting 23-25 around town. thats full stop and go. 25 no ac 23 with ac. mine only has exhaust. (wicked tuning) full turbo back 3" dp- 3" muffler and piping. on the highway i get 29-33 now mind you with my milage my SES light is on because of the exhaust, i need to get it flashed asap.  as much as the car pisses me off i love it. its extremly easy to mod and a blast to drive. i just put coil overs on it and the car will easly out handle a wrx keep up with a sti cornering. once (if ) i do the rear sway it'll beat a sti/evo hell even keep up with a vette.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LqIapOl4DXg thats a video of my exhaust from inside a tunnel.

if you want used for a good price and easy to work on i sugest a MK4 (98?-05) the vr6 sounds great and real reliable but i do like the easy modding of the 1.8t.  BUT if you go 1.8t i sugest getting a 20th or a 337. they have the 6speed trans thats alot stronger. my brother with the stock 6 speed put 650whp down. didnt last long but it lasted.  the06 and newer has tsi and fsi motors. they're direct injected and having problems with the fuel pumps.

for the hell of it this is a video of my brothers. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_0JH7JFBzJE
