Back from cruise - rested, and engaged!
« on: December 30 2010, 02:12:27 PM »
Just got back Sunday from a 7 day Caribbean cruise - lots of fun! Stopped at St. Maarten, St. Thomas VI, and Grand Turk.

Asked the GF to marry me, and after some flogging, she said yes. :D

Found the macro function on my camera - here's some pics I took, I made an album for them all, if you give a shit.

Full album:
http://ihadav8.com/Gallery3/

Pic of lucky gal:

Some good pics:
This was a strange flower - large round cabbage-like leaves. I took this pic on Grand Turk.

St. Maarten had some strange cars - Cherry, etc. Drove on the right, cars were a mix of left and right-hand drive.

Mmmm Curried goat in St. Thomas (Sorry Steve) Little ribs and all.

All in all, a great trip!

Now I have to get to work to save for the wedding.

Congratulation s!  Goat is really good when cooked right...and good for you.

Shoulda saved the cruise money for the engagement aftermath, but, it looks like it was really nice :)

My parent paid for the cruise - so it's good. :)
Are they looking to adopt? I always wanted to go on a cruise :)  Congrats on the engagement :balloons:

Meh, it's alright- I didn't actually expect you to tell the story about heading out to international waters...or the ointment later prescribed.

Congrats, she's a lovely gal. And she'd have to be some kind of saint to sign on for picking dried bits of pomegranate out of your 'taintbrush'.

Well congrats, what did you tell her for her to accept ?

Either way she did so enjoy.

Some neat pics there did not go through all of them, will later. Need to finish checking the threads and then help my neighbour.

Then I will look at the rest.

Oh what did you think of the vid?

I was serious about the flogging. :P Seriously, a wad of cash does wonders.

I got all artsy with the camera - I've had it for about 2 years and just now figured out how to work most of it's functions. It's a Sony point and shoot DSC-t700, did a pretty damn good job.

Loved the video, I think I remember that, but I'm pretty sure I was shitfaced when it was shot.

Welcome to the soon-to-say-i-do club.

Natasha and I are due for holy (what the hell was she thinking) matrimony on 18 Jun 2011. Good luck, even the sweetest girl goes a little Bridezilla as the special day approaches.
