I will get some shortly It hasn't changed any. Still has about 16.5K mils on it. I am still trying to decide if I want another car or to mod some on this one.
Going up to Vegas and seeing some nice fast GNs will probably bring me out of my limp dick, or proscrastinati on mode, hopefully.

Well, don't expect my slow POS to 'solidify' any of your plans! lol  :rofl;

.....besides, nobody can fight the urge to modify. Sooner or later, you'll give in. ;)

Actually, I think your car looks good in red. I remember there was a
guy on T6P that kept offering to buy it.
While I was restoring my car, I wanted to paint it Kawasaki green.
My buddy who painted it wouldn't let me. After washing tons of
pollen off of it, the next one will become Kawasaki green. :smirk:

Gary, I've got a question for ya:

My first GN had an aftermarket alarm system on it, so I never saw the 'Security' light in it. Now this GN always has the Security lighht flashing when the car is off.....I just figured it was a warning light for the factory alarm system (which works well), but the other day another GN owner asked me why it was flashing, so I'm confused as to whether or not it is supposed to. Since I believe you have the most pristine/unmolested car here I thought I'd ask you: does your security light flash?

Sorry, but how do you 'set' it? Mine is full time.....does that mean I can turn it off somehow?

Thanks.

FWIW & IMHO:
Can't say for sure, as I do not have the factory alarm, as it was a lightly optioned car. Is it possible that the factory alarm system light is supposed to flash, thereby indicating that your system is functioning correctly and the other guy's light is burnt out, or his system in not working correctly? Also, if you have an additional aftermarket system, there is a chance that they could have wired the aftermarket system through the factory system, in order to avoid having to install an additional indicator light. Sorry. bro, but those are just guesses all the way around. My first t-type was factory alarmed, but I don't remember if the light flashed on or not.
The aftermarket systems that I am aware of do have a light that flashes briefly to warn intruders away when the vehicle is off.

when you get out of the car and lock your doors with the power lock on the drivers side it sets it.   The alarm will go off if you unlock the passenger door, or if any of the push locks are pulled up the alarm will go off.

To turn it off, you have to unlock the drivers side door with the key.

To lock your car and not set it.  Manually lock the drivers and passenger side door not using the power locks.

Yeah Gary- your thoughts are the same as mine. Phil, you're right- thanks. I had forgotten that....I accidentally opened the passenger door once and that's how I found out that the alarm works very well....at 2 am.
