Donna, sell the GN and set yourself free!
I have read about a few brake upgrades that can be done inexpensively. One is to use the steering knuckles and brake rotors from a Chevy Caprice. Using the knuckles is key because they improve the suspension geometry and also allow you to use the larger Caprice rotors. The other is to get calipers for a Chevy S-10 (SS or X-treme) with the ZQ8 suspension package. They supposedly used a dual piston caliper. You may have to use the s-10 hoses as well. Aftermarket braided stainless are best. Use D.O.T. 4 brake fluid on the brake side of the master only, if using a powermaster. Do not use D.O.T. 5 under any circumstance as it will aerate in the event you are able to get it hot enough to boil.
How is this project coming along?
:rofl; Oh how I missed Motorhead Mike's vibrant discussions! It takes a lot of patience and unfortunately money to do this correctly... Good luck Bryan!
