Yeah, I gambling on it being my up pipe blowing off the the throttle body. But maybe not. I wonder if I finally smoked a gasket? Hmm... I'll walk out there today. I think I have a collapsed lifter too. Save that cam, I might need it.

If you just pop it off so it leaks a bit - you won't get a code. If it comes completely off, you should get a MAF error.

'Leaks a bit?' I had a pipe clamp come off of the turbo-to-intercooler coupler once and every time I throttled it it sounded the a baby elephant in pain.

You ham fisted bitch. Have you got the rest of it out yet?

I started my car in the morning and heard the most horrendous exhaust I've heard in my life. Found out there was nothing left of the EGR valve gasket.

Beats the hell out of me. I go through 1 every couple years or so. I get when I tend to get on it it blows the boost out of the only weak link it can find, and when the gaskets old, POP! It's all cleaned up and ready for a new one, just looking for a ride to the parts store now. It's sounds like it happens all the time, but she's a worked daily driver.

Brian was that the problem you think?

I was torking the shit down to 10lbs but the tork wrench is too big I guess and I didnt feel the click....  So then my uncle tried to feel the click and snap!

We got the shit out of the head.  Luckily it snapped and left a piece to grab.

oh and no Buick dealers have the bolts so its going to be fun.

I was supposed to have the shit doen last night
damn

I was, just buttoned her up. Have to reset IAC and TPS now, I tuned it for an exhaust leak.

Take the bolt down to a NAPA. You don't need a dealer part. Just needs to match the threads, get it just as long or cut it. If it's one that has a stud on top, like for the wastegate solenoid, get a really long one and then cut the head off. put a nut on top to seal the cover and then another nut for the bracket. Paint it black if it makes you feel better.
