It's pretty saddening to be honest. I grew up around these cars. I grew to love them. From laying under the car holding the flashlight while he replaced a transmission, to actually putting transmissions in my car. He's been on his gn rebuild for so long that I can't help but think it's a lost cause. He just doesn't have the urge anymore. I don't get it. The car is literally ready to start up after a few odds and ends are finished. I hope one day he turns around and finishes it but I don't see it happening.

Some times one just looses interest. Sometimes there is so little reward it is hard to keep moving forward. Sometimes one just wants to do other things.

I too hope that some how some way the fire gets relit. Tell him we miss and would love to have him back in the fold. Ask him if you can get it going. Maybe getting begin the wheel again would help. I know I love driving mine. Two "hey do you want to sell it"s this week and all the thumbs up I can stand. Haha.

Over 25 years there will be stretches like that, sometimes shifted interests, sometimes monetary issues. Probably would be different If you were around to help/prod.

I go in fits and starts have not touched the shell in my shop in 2 months it's been cold and I have had little time. The next part is finishing the under side so I can set it back on the frame gets a little overwhelming
