I am so disappointed..
« on: August 25 2009, 03:32:10 PM »
I was out shopping today, and saw a Chebby dealer and out front they had the 2010 Camaro, well, I decided to stop and just take a look  :bigeyes; .  (Wrecked Em don't freak out).

The salesmen came out, and talk there talk with me and told me that I can trade my GMC "Regency" YukonXL on it, I was like ah..no, but he kept telling me on how I can get a deal. (too bad). I explained that I just wanted to see the new Camaro. Well, He got the keys I looked at it and I am very disappointed in this car. For one, this car is NOT made for Short people. I could not even see over the dashboard and the hood of this thing. I even messed with the power seats and still felt like I was in a Bubble. That thing is so big and blind spots! Holy Crap!! 2nd it was automatic, which is a NO, No.  I thought it looked nice, but once I sat in it, my opinion has changed. I have driven BIG cars, but something is not right about it. Plus the thirty five thousand sticker on it just did not do anything for me.

BTW, it was Yellow with the Stripes on it...(thats all I see around here)....Bumble Bee maybe???

there is a sheriff's deputy here with one...She is about 4' 11"....or really short, anyway...I will have to ask her if she can see.  My impression was that it felt like my old '70 Camaro that felt like sitting in a deep bathtub til you got used to it.

My nephew looked at them this week end...sticker was 37k...then he went and bought a G8 for 29K....he said the G8 just drove better in his mind.

A lot of broken parts does not make you a racer; it makes you a slow learner.

I thought that It would not be a problem, one of my friends had a 85 Iroc-Z and the other had 78 and I had no problem driving them.  I'm 4'10/ 4'11 depending on my shoes (5' per Zap) and I just did not feel comfortable in it.  Maybe I am just used to driving my Yukon. Also, My Great Dane will not fit into it. lol

2 Dogs, 2 Children.  That is why I went back with a SUV.  Much easier to haul kids, dogs, cars, ATV's and whatever else you can think of.  LOL

I had my first "up close" look at the new Camaro a couple weeks ago.

A bit odd looking, to be sure. I'm still not sure if I like it or not.

It's different, for damn sure.

A friend of mine has an orange one on order. Its being built in Canada.
I hope they leave some Lebatts in the trunk.
