New CDs, Official Thread
« on: January 02 2009, 10:42:57 PM »
The new music is done and I hope to enjoy a February release. I will be posting updates here as we move along so as to keep everyone abreast regarding their progress. This has been a hellish undertaking for me. Two years in the making, I am quite happy to finally announce their completion. Originally intended to be published as a double-disc, they have been separated and will be released as companion albums...mostl y a money issue, really. "The Elsewhere" and "Crow In Cottonwood Pt.1" were started two years ago and were nearly done toward the end of last year but, as some of you know, were lost in a total hard drive meltdown. The irony is that I was writing of past difficulties and, not that those sentiments will ever leave my mind, as I was working on these discs I unfortunately had a heapin' helpin' of new hardship to spur me on. So, as fate would have it, I had to re-record the entire albums while actually suffering from the type of trouble that the CDs were based upon. It might seem pretty poetic, but it has been utter Hell, lol. If all runs smoothly the masterer will receive the master copies in about a week and a half. The mastering process, I'm told, will only take a week or so- then, the manufacturers promise me that the boxes of discs will start landing in my driveway after another two weeks. From there they need to be sent out to every swinging-dick in the countryside (Cdbaby, Sirius/XM, Pandora and a host of others) which takes a bit, but they should be available, as I said, some time next month. I am incredibly appreciative of all who were supportive of the Kill To Ruth demo and am excited to finally present you folks with something of a more professional calibre...just wish it hadn't taken so long. There have been a few who have helped/are helping in different ways and before this is all said and done I will be mentioning them here. Anyway, below is a track listing and the *raw* images that will be used for the covers (text will be inserted and so on, obviously) none of this should really be new to you, but here it is all official like. Stay tuned, fuckers.

About time, I've been keeping my lips shut for way to fucking long. Lot's of new photography will be coinciding with this all.

Yes, Brian and I consumed obscene amounts of liquor between NV, AZ and NM.

Audio clips will be up at myspace as soon as they've come back from the masterer.

11,122 days is the current tally of how long I've been wanting to punch Zap "in the face, in the face!".

30.45 years is a long time to wait, not to mention harboring discontent since you were 18 months old ?

Yeah, kinda the point, really. It's how old I was, to the day, when I came up with the riff.

Hopefully It doesn't sound like the Bananna Splits theme song...
