Pic inside
« on: July 13 2005, 11:45:27 PM »
My livingroom is too dark to get good pics of the engine damage. We'll have to wait till tomorrow.

My g'friend wanted me to put my t6p tshirt on and pose by my engine. When I told her about all the shit going on she begged me to take my pants off and pose with the tshirt and post it on t6p...lol. WTF?!?!?!

Anyways, she easily talked me into posing like I'm fucking the engine, I tried to make it look like I was getting off....lol

Hey, if you look close at my right hand, you see how the bracket looks? The hole for the bolt is grinded away.

I like your girlfriends style. That bracket is going to be a bitch to find. And those valve covers are hella nice, the same ones I want. Take it easy, shit happens. Always when it shouldn't.

Robert.. WHile the damage SUCKS - It looks like it's mostly cosmetic, cheap to fix (relatively) , and if you keep on the trucking company, they will pay for the damage.

Step back, take a deep breath, and realize what you have, not what's broken - a killer motor!

Let me know if there's anything I can do!

Yeah that damage is easy to fix.  I know you can get a new pick tube from GM still. As for the pan and bracket ...I have both of them sitting on the shelf at the shop.  Just let me know what you need ...also as for the pan ..I think that is another item that you can still get from GM.

Thankfully its minor damage. I wonder if the damage happened when it sat in NewOrleans for an extra week.

At first they blamed that the engine came in to late for them to transfer it to the Biloxi truck. So they didnt bring it. Ok, fine. Tuesday they said they didnt come to biloxi because of the tropical storm we had. Messed up thing about htat is during the storm at 3AM I was driving to work...storm was over. At 7AM sun was shining....8am sun dried everything up. The Terminal manager said he didnt want to send his driver into bad weather. There was no bad weather!!! I was still cool with their excuses. The next day Wed, they bring the engine to Biloxi but the truck didnt have a lift gate. The next day thurs, same thing, no liftgate.

I then called them on thurs afternoon because we had a catagory 4 hurricane comming out way...expected to hit on Sunday. I asked them to hold the engine till after the weekend because a Cat4 hurricane will blow your house down and flood your shit to the cealing.

The hurricane took a turn and hit the Fla panhandle we just got some 50mph winds and a little rain...we got lucky.

1. Brian beat me to telling you that those valve covers are tits!

2. I, too, am against taking nude photos- too bad for Phil who seems dead-set on seeing some wang.

3. The damage does appear to be pretty minor, but I still would be mega-pissed.

4. Once more: those valve covers are sweet.

What's fucked up is those RJC pans are pricey, any more news on the trucking company footing the bill?

Nick was right on with the covers! I was afraid he got the ones with Buick on one side and the power 6 on the other. He tried to explain them to me and I was like "ok, they'll do". When I saw that they were the ones with Buick and the 6 on the same side I was like "Sweet"!!!

The most important thing to me was the color. I wanted a stock looking color.

Was I over reacting last night?
