Are 'practicles' frozen things hanging off of the roof?

I've got a friend who is a well-ranking firefighter in ABQ. He's told me about some of the insane tests that one needs to take in order to advance in the department and they don't sound very easy....or practical, for that matter.

they wanna train u for the worst of the worst situations incase u are ever faced with them. the thing about that though is training and the "by the book" method goes out the window asoon as ur done with training. and anyone can tell u that. i mean u do things the same way its just ur not step by step like they want you to be. but who knows. i just hope to get on with a department soon so i can make some $. :supz:
