Just my two cents on the subject...
Progressive rate springs were originally designed for cars like Cadillacs and Buicks. It is a spring that will hold up the car without being too soft or too harsh. They are not a good performance spring. They are a comfort type of spring, so they *may* have stated that they were for T Types on the assumption that T Types are not a performance car like the GN.
