My Buick is lonely...
« on: July 04 2007, 05:59:13 AM »
...so I'm going to CA to see it next week.

I'll be in SoCal for a couple of weeks if anyone is around...let me know.

We are definitely returning to the states in July of '08.  But I don't exactly know where we're going yet.  Maybe AL or VA, but I'm sure it'll be out east somewhere.

Right now we're living in the ROK.  I won't be back stateside until July '08.  That puts me in either AL or VA by the end of AUG.  Either Ft. Rucker or Ft. Belvoir (I hope...it's still not written in stone yet).  I'm more interested in AL, and then hopefully retiring in NC (the western parts) a few years after that.

hmm,  Can't say that I have seen or heard of anything like that in Huntsville. That city is very diverse, considering its primary employer is Red Stone Federal Arsenal, NASA and all the companies that support NASA (Boeing, Lockheed martin and several other aero-space corps.  There is also 2 universities there and one college.  I would suggest that you visit the place and make your own decision if it has a racism problem or not.  IT's a small city with alot to offer.

Nashville is the SHIT!

Knoxville is the SHIT!

Chat sux!

I'd  say Memphis would be the most dangerous and racist.

Nash and Knox are fun towns, I've spent several weekends both places and the nightlife is awsome! Knoxville is young at heart with an old town history and feel. Buncha college kids. Cant go wrong.

Nashville and Knoxville are nice, big cities.   Memphis is bad. I just went down there a few months ago to the zoo, which zoo area is nice, but around town it was looking worse then Chicago!  (Born and raised in Chicagoland)  We live in the Northern Corner of TN which is a College town.  Love it down here.  Better Winters then Chicago, more warm air, well just damn hot here.  Been living here for a year and still love it.  Have family and friends following us here, quite funny.   Great Schools for the kids.  Also a few race tracks in the area which is a plus!  :supz:

I grew up in Joliet, IL.  Went to HS in MT.  I lived in Clarksville, TN '92-'93 and again in '00 to '04.  I love Nashville, and I really like Chatanooga.  Maybe we'll relook Huntsville if we're living in AL.  I think Redstone is on the BRAC, or at least it usually is in fear of being closed down.  Is there an airport there?
