OK, just daydreaming... working nights for the next 4 days....
OK, stretch IC, 2800 stall 12" and 50lb injectors.
What's the max turbo (I like the 44's) but may wish to push it a tad faster.

I want to say you can easily push a 51 with that setup. 12" 2800 Pat's? I love that converter. Got the same one in my GN, but with a stock turbo. Been beating on it (converter) for 3 years or so now, daily driven, no issues.
My 1958 Mamiya can beat up whatever camera you just wasted your money on.

A 44 will work with a stock torque converter. I'd bet a TE-60 would work nicely
for the same price as a 44.

No not want I can find. You can get a 44 in BB or a GT6131
My think Rob is right a CPTE-60 from Jack would be the max for my stall and the same price.

I ran at one time a T 70 p trim bb turbonetics turbo with a 2800 converter. Thing spooled like crazy .. now of course you will need some bigger injectors than 50s.  One other thing I did was to use a garrett turbine housing over the pte one.  Only one thing can be said though ...ball bearing turbos rule!

I can't wait to hear from you when you put that 51 in....have space in your luggage for it! At sea level you should have plenty of stall for it.

I wouldn't go bigger than a t62-ish with a 2800 stall.  Throw in a boost valve and it will spool decently.

I had not heard of any short lived turbonetic bb turbos .. have heard of several pte/ garrett ones dying. But, they are different turbos, pte/ garrett is a dual bb where as the turbonetic's is only bb on the cool side.

Since you are lookin to stay with 50# injectors .. I would look to a small p trim turbo. maybe a te-63, but nothing larger than that.  that will get you into the low 11's easily with some c16, or low 12's on pump gas and 17 to 18 psi boost.  

As for spool up with bb turbos,  my last set up was a t-72 turbonetics bb p trim .. got it off old buzzard  in Atlanta, Ga.  that turbo was on a girdled 109, champ iron heads, ported intake, and a speed pro 214 cam.  I could wack the throttle in park and get 3 psi on the boost gauge.  Which ever turbo you choose ...go with the bb option. You won't regret it.

Some more food for thought...
With the BB turbo, you'll need to add water lines to cool it.
And they're very pricey. If you're willing to meet that criteria, BB
is the way to go. :supz:

RR the T-netics does not require water cooling. The PTE/Garrett may very well since it's a dual bb turbo.
