86 is back on the road
« on: April 15 2007, 01:43:14 PM »
Took it out for a maiden run in the neighorhood today and all I can say is HOLY SH!T. Left a 40ft mark at my neighors house, had to let off I scared the wife   :rofl;

A BIG Thanks to Grumpy and Russ for all the parts to get me back on the road  and answering all my questions
I still need to finish bleeding the brakes, put in the new plugs and tweak the exhuast.

I think I'm going to need more meat out back, 4 psi launch and about 20ft into it the rear busted loose.  :supz:

Here's the Buick leaving it's mark.
I guess the wife got scared quicker then a thought, looks to be only about 20ft long. The other mark is from a 4psi launch at his mail box and that's were it busted loose. May have to get larger rear tires :eek!:

She was scared I would hit his mail box, I launched @ 10psi boost.
It's damp and cold today so that is part of it.

I wish my neighbors weren't such prudes, or I could have that kind of fun at home. :(
My 1958 Mamiya can beat up whatever camera you just wasted your money on.

X2  My neighborhood is a little on the old side and I think I would lose some neighbors to heart attacks if I did a good burnout down the block!  But I do have a nice freshly paved street only a few blocks away.....has alot or rubber on it though...wonde r where that came from  :smt102 !

Guy has a 65 Chev nova setup for 1/8 in the garage, runs a 7.2 something in the 8th.
He's stepping up to a powerglide and trans brake to brake into 6.8

Robert met him when he had the other car.
