Something that sucked this past week.
« on: August 27 2006, 10:56:43 PM »
As I mentioned in another thread, I had something bad happen this past week.
My brother's best friend had commited suicide. My brother thought enough of him
that his name became my nephew's middle name. He was a really cool guy.
Back when I was in high school, I gave him a copy of a tape my band at the time had recorded. He was very supportive. Back then not many would even listen to it.
Not only do I feel bad for him, but I feel bad for my brother too.

This whole week was a wild ride.

Death only hurts the living, I guess.  Hopefully your brother doesn't blame himself.

My last two weeks have been good and bad as well.  I got my transfer to CA last month and needed to get there ASAP.  Last Tuesday morning, after 5 days of packing,  We pulled out for our cross county trip.  The trailer I rented was way heavy and pulled like shit so we turned around and spent Tue and Wed unpacking and getting a new plan.

Then on Thursday my wifes grandfather died and on Friday my Mother's neighbor, great influence who I've known all my life,  died at 60.

I spent Sat at funeral, Sun at a viewing and will spend tomorrow at another funeral.

I get a lot of peace out of the circle of life.

Oh, it's raining and the Little League World Series is in town so traffic is Fucked.

This beer (Yuengling Black and Tan) I'm drinkin' is all good though.  :tonqe:

This past week has been a proverbial roller coaster ride to say the least.

I've buried three of the four members of my immediate family. My sister and I are the only ones left....and with my drinking, smoking and lifestyle of brooding I've never expected to last very long, either. Let's just say I wont even buy green bananas. Losing those we love is the worst thing I've ever had to muscle through....Rob, you at least have your musical ability which enables you to memorialize those fallen better than most.

That reminds me that I still have to work on the song I told you guys about called
"Beyond the Dawn". My Drummer bought cymbals this past weekend, so we'll
probably be jamin' after Labor Day.  Oh yeah, don't sell yourself short.

I don't even know what to say. I haven't lost anyone close to me in a while. You guys will get through it of course.
My 1958 Mamiya can beat up whatever camera you just wasted your money on.
