Fixed the thermostat seal and the machinist hit the water jacket when he repaired the threads for the exhaust manifold. I had put sealer on the bolt but apparently it wasn’t good enough, now it is and there is no more sizzling from the exhaust manifold lol
It has a tps code so I’m gonna swap the tps for him and hopefully he’s all set. I put about 20 miles on it today and it runs nice, ready for another 200k

Must think it is a big block mopar where some of the studs go into the water jacket or the threads are badly worn and coolant just blows by them.

New TPS seems to have done the trick - it's ready to become the owners problem once again

A good deed done.  Now you can get back to the good stuff!  I am sure you have the heat going but this might be a good time to extra btu's from some additional source.  This may be a rough winter.

It’s been hovering around freezing here for a couple weeks, the heat has been running for sure.
I need to build one of these to heat with https://youtu.be/ByuCdCo9-XI
