Shipping options?
« on: January 31 2017, 11:58:32 AM »
Hey guys, I'm interested in buying a snowmobile in Michigan but I need it to be shipped to Pembina North Dakota so I can pick it up.  I have used Yellow Freight in the past but it will probably be fairly expensive.  Do any of you have any ideas or recommendation s?

Just a thought, you could search out a local club in the area & they might have a member who could get it there?  :chin:

If you have Fastenal stores in Canadia, give Ginger a call at Fatenals 3rd party logistics.   (she sounds SEXY as hell too. :D )

It's a pretty neat setup.  They have trucks that crisscross the nation bring bolts and shit to all their stores.  You can pallet something up and they will transport it from one store to another for you pretty cheaply.

A few years ago I 'mailed a 4 player Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles arcade game from Georgia to Boston for $100 even.  All I did was ratchet strap it to a pallet, wrap it in cardboard and drive to my nearest store with a form I printed out. They got it off my trailer with a forklift and it rode up the east coast in one of their semis.

I just checked, we do have a Fastenal store here.  Yellow Freight needs it crated and I am looking at $1k which is half the price of the snowmobile.

I might have to do a road trip.
